Elaine L. Schwartz

Legal Assistant

Elaine Schwartz brings nearly twenty years of experience in intellectual property law practice to her current position as Legal Assistant to Senior Paralegal Karen R. Bruno. She assists Karen in setting-up and closing matters in our systems, preparation of correspondence to clients, foreign associates and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office including formal documents and form letters, and obtaining patents & patent publications, both U.S. and foreign.

Elaine is well versed in virtually all aspects of work in an intellectual property law, having performed just about every imaginable job during her extensive experience. She started at our firm as a legal secretary, then worked in the accounting department for a number of years and now works as a legal assistant.

Elaine began her career in intellectual property law in a small intellectual property law firm in Western New York, where she worked for about seven years with Robert Simpson, Michael Dunn, Linda Case and Candi Curry. Her strong interest in intellectual property law and her commitment to our mission brought Elaine to Simpson & Simpson in 2002.
